About

Welcome to my website! My name is Mark Hertz and I’m thrilled to share my passion for baseball with you.

I’ve been playing baseball for as long as I can remember. From Little League to travel teams to high school varsity, baseball has always been a huge part of my life. By the time I graduated high school, I knew that I wanted to pursue baseball professionally.

After playing college ball for a few years, I was drafted by the Marlins in the 2002 MLB draft. That was a dream come true! I spent 3 incredible seasons playing for the Marlins and several other MLB clubs over my 6-year MLB career. Having the opportunity to play at the highest level and learn from some of the best in the game was an experience I’ll never forget.

In total, I’ve played for 3 teams during my MLB career. I’m proud to have made lifelong friends with teammates and forged connections with fans across the country.

Now that I’ve retired from professional baseball, I’m excited to start this next chapter where I can share my knowledge and experiences with aspiring players. I’ve played at the highest levels, from NCAA Division 1 to the MLB, and learned from some of the greatest coaches and players out there.

My goal is to pass on insights about proper mechanics, training regimens, in-game strategy, and the mental side of the game. I’ll break down drills, analyze film, and provide tips that I wish I knew when I was first starting out. Whether you’re a Little Leaguer hoping to make varsity or a high school player with dreams of getting scouted, I’m here to help take your game to the next level.

Let me know if you have any specific questions! I’m always happy to offer advice and feedback. With hard work and the right approach, I believe any player can maximize their potential. I hope I can equip you with the skills and knowledge to succeed on the diamond.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to connecting with you!
